And according to reports by Domain this week, Jordan Belfort is on the lookout for a multimillion-dollar Brisbane property, after listing his Long Island mansion for sale.
Sarah Hackett, Place Agents managing director, reported that the 54-year-old former stockbroker-turned-motivational speaker, inspected 58 Retreat Street in Bridgeman Downs, Queensland.
The sprawling property, situated on one hectare of suburban land, features four spacious bedrooms
It also boasts an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and gaming room which all make for luxurious entertaining areas.
A picturesque setting, the property features lush greenery, an outdoor fountain and pathway leading up to the main entrance.
The Hamptons-style home was sold on March 31 for just under $5 million.
The news comes just days after Jordan listed his $4.5 million Long Island mansion for sale.
Located on 8,706 square feet, the estate boasts a two-storey foyer, five bedrooms, a butler’s pantry, and living room the size of a ballroom.
Built in 1986, the decor features large Spanish wooden doors and chequered tiles.
Perfect for hosting large parties, there are extensive formal gardens, a pool, spa and entertaining area.
Jordan spent 22 months in prison, after pleading guilty in the 1990s.
The personality is required to repay millions to his victims, where he used the powers of persuasion to encourage them to buy penny stocks based on misleading or exaggerated statements.
His crimes were detailed in his first memoir, The Wolf of Wall Street, which was later turned into the 2013 blockbuster of the same name, starring Leonardo Di Caprio.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a report in 2014 suggested that Jordan relocated to Australia to avoid having to pay back his victims.
